The Taño family has a Tobacco history dating back to the late 1800’s in Cuba. They had thriving businesses that included growing, processing & selling tobacco leaves throughout Cuba and the U.S. With the takeover of Cuba by Fidel Castro in 1959, they decided to call Miami, FL home. Taño & Sons Cigar Co. Inc. was established in 1967. Their cigars were sold throughout Miami, the U.S. and the Caribbean.

Description

Natural Peacock feathers and rhinestones stand out on this white My Father cigar box. Wood, rhinestone & acrylic beads in the handle play off the colors in the feathers. The colors continue inside with a 70's vintage fabric that belonged to blouse my mother handmade herself. NOTE: Box has been salvaged from a local Miami cigar shop. Some imperfections may be found.

Navy blue swirl trim frames the inside top edge. Turquoise, wood, blue lapis & glass beaded tassel attached with a brass scalloped hoop. Stainless steel rhinestone peacock adornment with blue stone.
